Lemon Verbena Seedling in 9cm Pot (bare-root)

This is a shrub native to South America with a refreshing lemon scent. It is also known as a perfume plant due to its wonderful fragrance. It is characterized by its narrow, pointed leaves that grow three per node.
The leaves have a strong lemon scent, making them perfect for adding a touch of flavor to tea, mineral water, or creating a delightful lemon-scented beverage by combining them with chamomile or mint. They also add a fragrant touch to cakes and cookies when finely chopped and mixed into the batter.

The seedling in the photo will be removed from the pot, and the roots will be kept moist with kitchen paper soaked in Menard solution. It will be flattened to fit into a 3cm thick box and shipped via Yu-Packet.

Please note that the leaf tips may be slightly bent to fit into the Yu-Packet box.

Cultivation Method:
Grow in a location with plenty of sunlight and well-draining soil. If temperatures drop below 0°C, grow in a container and bring indoors during winter. In warmer regions like Kansai, it will lose its leaves but can generally overwinter outdoors. New shoots emerge in late spring. To maintain its shape, prune the branches back in late autumn. Leaves can be harvested anytime during the growing season, but for the highest essential oil concentration, harvest them during the flowering period and dry for storage.

Growth environments vary, so we cannot guarantee cultivation or flowering.
