(For Hazuki Only) Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten Soba Choko Choju-giga Set of 3
17.16 $
Description
?? Description
This design features a digest of selected scenes from the Choju-giga scrolls, considered the oldest manga in Japan. The design uses the copperplate transfer technique, which was the mainstream method for decorating Hasami ware during the Meiji and Taisho periods. Pigments for ceramics are printed on Japanese paper and then transferred to the ceramic body. By using pigments rich in iron that tend to burn easily, we have created a textured atmosphere with variations in line strength.
Size: φ8 x H6.1cm / 170cc
Microwave and dishwasher safe. Please note that due to the copperplate transfer technique used for the pattern, there may be some bleeding, chipping, or misalignment of the print, but please enjoy these as part of the product's unique character.
MARUHIRO, Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten
