Description
This is a handmade, hand-painted vessel by Yoshishiro Kiln, a sometsuke (blue and white) artist from Arita.
The artist has depicted a delicate floral and grass pattern on two charming windows.
Although the pattern covers the entire surface, it is a design that you won't tire of.
The shape is easy to hold and versatile, suitable not only as a soba choko (soba dipping sauce cup) but also as a hot water cup.
This item was acquired about 20 years ago.
The artist's mark Yoshishiro is inscribed on the underside of the foot.
