Old Imari Soba Choko (Buckwheat Noodle Cups) - Set of 4
This is a set of 4 antique Imari soba choko (soba cups) made during the Edo and Meiji periods.
Features: These are ceramics fired in the Arita area of Saga Prefecture, decorated with various patterns in indigo blue underglaze.
Patterns: Many designs feature characteristic checkered and geometric patterns, such as the Ichimatsu Koshi Mon (checkerboard pattern).
Uses: In those days, they were widely used not only for soba but also as general tableware for dishes like mukōzuke (side dishes) and as sake cups.
These soba choko were collected by my mother.
They were purchased used and have remained unused.
Some have chips, so please check the photos carefully.
I found the information in the title through research.
I am selling them for decluttering.
We are looking for buyers who understand and accept items that have been stored for a long time and are used.
