[Product Description]
This is a hydrangea from the popular Black Diamond series in Europe and America. It is an hydrangea with impressive black foliage (crow's leaf hydrangea).
It grows compactly in pots and is a popular series for its beautiful flower colors and dark foliage. It has abundant blooms in proportion to its size, making it a spectacular sight! The leaves do not turn green even when the flowers are in bloom, maintaining their beautiful dark color. When planted in the garden, it grows to a considerable height and spread. (Color may vary depending on cultivation environment. It will be reddish in alkaline soil and purplish in acidic soil.)
This variety has very abundant blooms. As it progresses, it turns a vibrant red (see photo).

Flowering period: June-July (This is the natural flowering period, but it blooms earlier due to forced cultivation.)

[Cultivation Method]
Grow in a well-ventilated location with plenty of sun to partial shade. It requires a lot of water. Water thoroughly before the surface soil dries out. Water until it drains from the bottom of the pot, but do not let water accumulate in the saucer. Avoid direct sunlight in summer as it can cause leaf scorch.
For fertilizer, apply slow-release fertilizer about once every two weeks, 2-3g as a top dressing, or give liquid fertilizer diluted to about 2000 times once a week.
In summer, aphids and mites are prone to appear, so check the undersides of the leaves carefully.
If brown spots appear on the petals, pluck them off.
New shoots will grow from the base of the plant in autumn. Since this is when next year's flower buds are formed, avoid pruning after autumn. It has moderate cold hardiness, so protect it from frost in winter.
For potted plants, manage them so they do not freeze in winter, and repot them into a slightly larger pot in spring.

As this is a plant, there may be some leaf scorch or insect damage.
