This popular variety ranked 3rd in the top 10 fall figs chosen by fig enthusiast Ben from Seattle in 2018. It is rarely distributed in Japan and is difficult to obtain worldwide.

Characteristics & Taste

The fruits are medium-sized, approximately 50g for the summer harvest and 30g for the fall harvest. The skin of the summer harvest is a glossy burgundy color (very dark purplish-red), while the fall harvest is blackish-purple with white spots. The flesh is a slightly reddish amber color.
When ripe, the fruit drips with syrup-like nectar. The summer harvest is juicy with a mild sweetness reminiscent of melon. The fall harvest is astonishingly like honey jam.
