They can be grown outdoors year-round.
For Enkianthus propagation, it's best to take cuttings around June-July. Cut healthy branches that have grown that year to about 7-15 cm, remove the lower leaves, and make a slanted cut. Insert the cuttings into Kanuma soil or Akadama soil, keep them in partial shade, and manage them so they don't dry out for good root development. Cuttings can also be made from previous year's branches in late February to March when the leaves have fallen, but greenwood cuttings during the rainy season are generally considered more successful.
