Okuei
Hand Bucket
Size: Diameter 14 x Height 25 cm
Material: Kiso Natural Sawara Cypress, German Silver
Used only once. There are water stains, but they are said to blend in with use.
Made using only the red heartwood (akabuto), a high-quality part of old-growth national forest timber.
Its dense growth rings and high essential oil content provide antibacterial properties, water resistance, a mellow fragrance, a soft texture, and excellent water drainage.
The shape of this hand bucket can only be made with traditional techniques, so it is rarely found in general stores.
German silver is an alloy that has long been used as a material for tableware such as cutlery.
It is strong, resistant to rust and discoloration, and Okuei's original design achieves a sleek appearance by making it thin and thick.
