Description
This is a Shigaraki ware pot.
Shigaraki ware is pottery produced in the Shigaraki town area of Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, and is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns.
It was designated as a national traditional craft in 1976. Made with clay from Lake Biwa, it is a pottery with a rustic texture and a warm, earthy expression that is deeply flavorful.
It has been stored for a long time.
While I believe it to be rare, it is an antique item, so please purchase only if you are not concerned about minor details.
Please understand that we are not responsible for any breakage during shipping.
