NOBUT (ノブ)
This line was established by Nobuyasu Takai, the representative of Sakuzan Kiln, who personally designed it. Two years ago, marking the 35th anniversary of Sakuzan Kiln's founding, he launched NOBUT with the desire to shape his own simple expressions, focusing on the material of the clay, simple colors, and the textures created through firing. NOBUT (NOBUYASU TAKAI)... NOBUT (Nobu). The name also carries the meaning of no buts (no arguments/no questions asked), reflecting the maker's strong concept.
The colors are offered in basic white and black, the very first colors created when Sakuzan Kiln was established. These are versatile vessels suitable for use in restaurants, general households, and for French, Italian, or Japanese cuisine. The beauty of their stackability for storage is also a key design element. The glazes are fired and white glaze, valuing the textures born from the earth.
This is a vessel stripped of excess, embodying a presence born from years of experience in designing and crafting tableware.
