Mug cup, Yachimun, made by Jitsuro Nakamura of Yobaru Pottery

Thank you for viewing.
Immediate purchase is welcome.

This Yachimun is a work by Mr. Minoru Nakamura of Yongen Pottery Studio located in Kitanakagusuku Village, Okinawa Prefecture.
Mr. Nakamura's works are characterized by patterns inspired by Okinawa's shell ginger and croton, making them unique pottery designs rarely found in other Yachimun.
As he creates his pottery alone, mass production is not possible, and there are few stores handling his work even within Okinawa Prefecture, making them difficult to purchase online or through mail order.

Due to Mr. Nakamura's commitment, he does not plan to take apprentices, allowing him to focus on his craft with a sense of freedom.
This dedication adds to the value, and he is one of my favorite Yachimun artists among many.
