Effects of Pure Silver Ions
Pure silver has long been recognized for its sterilizing and antibacterial properties, as seen in silverware, and is expected to be effective not only against germs but also for antiviral measures. The diagram below shows the results of an antibacterial test of Pure Silver Ion Water (Manatura Water) conducted by the Japan Food Research Laboratories. It is effective against various bacteria, including Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus, which cause food poisoning, as well as E. coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Interestingly, it was also found to not sterilize Bacillus subtilis, a type of hay bacillus found in soil and plants.
