It's a bit small, but
I think it can be fully used as a finishing stone!
Depending on the application, of course.
I was using it as a finishing stone until recently.
Hardness is about 7-8 out of 10.
I think it's on the harder side, but
personally, I find it easy to sharpen with!
If you have short strokes, it should be sufficient for sharpening a 2-sun (approx. 60mm) plane!
Since it is a natural whetstone, it may develop a different sharpening feel or draw out slurry over time, so please understand this before purchasing!
