Description
This is a set including Naniwa Kenma Kogyo's Go-Ken Hayabusa whetstone and a Nitori petty knife.
(Petty Knife)
Nitori All Stainless Steel Petty Knife (KY054). Blade length: 12cm, Steel: Molybdenum Vanadium. It is sharp, hygienic, and has received the Good Design Award.
(Finishing Whetstone)
Naniwa Kenma Kogyo's Go-Ken Hayabusa. It has been used infrequently but has a slight chip. The side is marked with #4000. Please check the photos. Grit: #4000, Size: Length 210 x Width 70 x Thickness 20mm. Apply an appropriate amount of water to the surface of the whetstone and it is ready for immediate use. The texture is smooth, and the slurry is creamy. It feels slightly hard.
*First photo: The petty knife's cutting edge is being finished with the Hayabusa whetstone using a flat sharpening technique. A simple re-sharpening will restore its sharpness. There are sharpening scratches.
*The sharpening feel is like a cloudy whetstone. Since artificial whetstones are often mirror-finish type, this is unusual. The appearance of internal cloudiness can be confirmed in the first photo.
*The fourth photo shows the slurry.
