Mr. Nomura studied under Mr. Ino, a master craftsman of the Showa era, and was thoroughly taught what constitutes a superior product. While ordinary craftsmen (those who make household knives) focus on producing a moderate quality in large quantities, Mr. Ino is said to have instructed, Make one good item, even if it's just one.

Mr. Nomura has upheld this teaching even after becoming independent, consistently delivering high-level work (blade sharpening) for any order.
He performs 4 to 5 steps where other craftsmen would do 3, ensuring not only initial beauty but also a sharpening that allows the user to appreciate its quality with continued use.

There are few blade sharpening craftsmen in Sakai with over 50 years of experience making superior products, and young craftsmen eager to learn his techniques continue to come to him.
