■Product Description■

Hokkaido Mingei Furniture is a masterpiece crafted with care by artisans, embodying the spirit of beauty in utility from the Japanese Folk Craft Movement and using carefully selected high-quality Hokkaido birch solid wood. After merging with the Osaka-based furniture brand Kuraray Interior in 1977, production and sales by Kuraray Interior ceased in 2009. Since then, Hida Sangyo, a Gifu-based furniture brand, has inherited the Hokkaido Mingei Furniture brand and manufacturing facilities.

■Product Condition■

This is a swivel captain's chair from Hokkaido Mingei Furniture, purchased 20 years ago.

It was bought by my parents for their vacation home and has been used there.
As a result, it has seen infrequent use and, despite being vintage, is in excellent condition.
There are hardly any noticeable scratches.

It has been carefully used for many years, but I am parting with it due to moving.

The condition is very good considering the period of use, and it is a very luxurious item with a solid and wonderful feel to each part. I would like to pass it on to someone who will cherish it.

Also, while Hokkaido Mingei Furniture chairs are commonly seen, swivel seat models are rare and highly sought after.
