Kaseki Custom Order Usunaba Knife, 20cm Blade

This is a Kaseki usuba knife.
The blade length is approximately 20cm.
The steel type is unknown.
It has a Betsu-atsurae (custom-made) inscription.
The handle is made of white buffalo horn.

With a blade length of 20cm, this usuba knife has a substantial feel,
so much so that it feels like a hamo-kiri (eel knife) when held.

Many people may think usuba knives are for vegetables,
but they were originally all-purpose knives, so their uses are wide-ranging.

The inscription of the maker's mark has faded due to polishing.
After rust and scratch repairs, the blade was mirror-polished, so some fine scratches remain.
We recommend it if you don't mind these.

Overall, it is in clean condition with no scratches or dirt, so it should last a long time.

Both the cutting edge and the flat are almost mirror-finished.
The weight balance is good, and it is recommended for professionals and general households alike.

The blade has been finished with a Kitayama 8000 grit whetstone, a Shapton 12000 grit whetstone, and a natural whetstone.
It is in excellent cutting condition and ready for immediate use.
