Gensuke Hisa Head Dropping Knife

36.30 $
Description
Considering the shape, size, thickness, and weight of the Sukehisa, I believe it is a head cleaver (頭オトシ - atama otoshi).
Its weight makes it easy to cut ingredients without requiring much force.
The shape is slightly slender and somewhat thin, so it might be a kiritsuke (切付け - kiritsuke) knife.

I searched online but couldn't find any Sukehisa head cleavers. For kiritsuke knives, only those with shapes similar to gyuto knives came up.
Apparently, Sukehisa kiritsuke knives are sold for ¥15,000 to ¥30,000.
I couldn't find any head cleavers.

The Masahiro head cleaver shown in the 7th and 8th images is included for size comparison.
Only the Sukehisa knife is for sale.

The blade is slightly thinner than a typical head cleaver.
The thickness is about the same. It has a similar weight, so I am listing it as a head cleaver.

By the way, the Masahiro is also unused at the moment. It is not listed for sale. However, if someone is interested, they can leave a comment, and I will list it. (I would list it for ¥9,700... but I don't really want to sell it, so the price is high. Please do not comment.)

Size: Blade length approx. 23cm
Japanese steel
