Minamoto Masayoshi Yanagiba Knife 29cm with Saya and Engraving
130.68 $
Description
Thank you for looking.
This is a Yanagiba knife by Minamoto Masayoshi.
It has a 29cm blade, making it a large size.
Measurements are approximate as I am an amateur:
Total length: 46cm
Blade length: 29cm
Thickness at the heel of the blade: 4mm
Weight: 224g
Please see photos for details.
This is a very high-quality knife with little signs of use.
There is a deep engraving at the base of the flat side (To [Full Name] from [Surname]), but it has been mosaiced in the photos. There are no Minamoto Masayoshi related engravings on the front side.
I imagine there were various circumstances surrounding the giver, the receiver, and the reason for selling.
Please feel free to comment if you have any questions.
Thank you.
