These are scraps of genuine leather, oil leather (cowhide), tanned using pit tanning with vegetable tannins.

All leather pieces are from the belly or neck area and will have many scratches and wrinkles, with soft leather fibers.
Although the belly part is considered relatively soft among leathers, this leather is slowly tanned with vegetable tannins in a pit tanning process, so the texture is firmer than other common vegetable-tanned leathers.

In addition to color unevenness and scratches from the leather manufacturing process, there may be processing on the flesh side.
