Chair, 1 pc, vintage

This chair was produced around the 1960s-1980s at the Radomsko factory. It was then disassembled into units of several dozen chairs, boxed, and exported worldwide. The current item was reassembled in Japan. Due to reasons such as long-term storage and issues with paint quality in the former Eastern Bloc, it was specially finished with intermediate and top coats of polyurethane resin. At that time, processing machinery was limited, and much of the work was done by hand, resulting in subtle variations in dimensions and balance. Personally, I believe this gives it a good, vintage feel, but please understand that minor imperfections such as original small dents and burrs from drilling, which could not be corrected during the repainting in Japan (or perhaps were not considered significant enough to fix), are present. The worker also made marks with a blade at the base of the front legs where they were reinserted. Floor protectors are attached to the leg tips.

Radomsko Factory
In 1881, Thonet established a factory in Radomsko, then part of Germany. After World War II, it became state-owned under the socialist regime, but it has continued furniture manufacturing, inheriting the legacy of the Thonet factory in various forms to this day.
