Originally, a wooden top was attached to the cast iron legs of a sewing machine stand.
Purchased from a specialty store for vintage and remade furniture.
Can be used as a work desk or computer desk.
The treadle wheel part moves smoothly, so feel free to spin it for a change of pace while working＾＾

The large top provides ample workspace.
While Singer, BROTHER, and JANOME are popular, it's rare to find a familiar Japanese brand, which makes it endearing?
The blackish areas on the surface of the top are part of the paint's texture, not dirt.
There are several cracks or splits on the surface of the top. (See images 4-6, towards the back when viewed from the front.) They do not interfere with normal use. There are also some scratches, water rings, and slight fading.
It's easy to replace the top with one of your preference, or you might consider DIYing it with repainting or putty.
Of course, it can be used as is with its current quality.
