Zelkova Solid Wood Arare-gumi Folding Chabu-dai (Low Table) Wooden Nails Traditional Crafts Tatami Room Round Table

[Size]
Diameter: Approx. 82cm
Height: Approx. 30cm

[Features]
This is an extremely high-quality round chabudai table made exclusively from the finest zelkova (keyaki) innocence wood.
The beautiful wood grain that continues to the sides of the tabletop indicates the luxurious use of thick, natural wood.

Structurally, the apron joints use traditional arare-gumi (Japanese dovetail joinery), and wooden pegs are used for reinforcement instead of metal screws. It is a masterpiece of craftsmanship assembled without any metal fittings, including the folding mechanism. The underside of the tabletop is reinforced with suitsuki-san (anti-warping braces) to ensure durability for a lifetime of use.

The deep,飴色 (ameiro - caramel-colored) luster unique to aged zelkova, combined with the elegant cat-leg design, gives it the appearance of a first-class antique furniture piece.
