Wooden Magemono Strainer, Sieve, Sifter Mesh

Wooden round sieve/strainer. The mesh is not made of horsehair and can be disinfected with alcohol.

Purchased about 25 years ago at a workshop where artisans were making these items during a trip (Gunma? Niigata? Not sure). Used 2-3 times for making kurikinton (chestnut paste). I'm always impressed by the bentwood techniques and the mountain cherry (birch) hoops, but this item has been stored in my kitchen cabinet unused, which feels like a waste. I'd like to pass it on to someone who will use it. There are some scratches and dirt from moving, etc. Please refer to the photos for the condition. I've placed a 1L Kikkoman soy milk carton on the mesh as a reference for its tautness. Please note that the soy milk is not included in the sale.
