【Rare, Showa Retro】Tomoe Soroban 23-Digit New Great Birch Beads (with box)

This is a 23-digit abacus, a high-end model called New Great by Tomoe Soroban, believed to have been sold in the late 1960s. It has been stored at home.

[Product Features]
High-quality specifications: The side panels (left and right frames) have a rounded design, characteristic of the New Great series, which is gentle on the fingers.
Birch beads used: Made from wood with a denser grain than modern, inexpensive models, said to offer a superior tactile experience.
Rare original box: The dedicated box is very sturdily constructed with metal reinforcements on the four corners (approx. 35cm in length).

[Condition]
Main unit: While it has a vintage charm due to its age, there is no wobbling, and the beads move lightly and smoothly. There are no names inscribed.
Box: There are stains due to age, and a name is inscribed on the back (this will be painted over before shipping).

This is a masterpiece showcasing the craftsmanship of the Showa era. We hope to pass it on to someone looking for a high-quality tool.
