Makita Ultra Metal Roller 4 + Nylon Cord (A-60844) Set
19.14 $
Description
Purchased on Amazon in April 2026 for mowing the land I was managing.
The land sale was decided immediately after using it once for mowing, so I am now listing it for sale.
The cord that comes standard with the Ultra Metal Roller 4 has about 2m remaining. Since the cord wear was less than expected, the nylon cord (A-60844, 30m) is unused.
Initially, I mowed with a metal blade. It cuts through tough grass easily, but there was kickback when hitting stones or obstacles, and I had to work cautiously, which hindered mowing efficiency.
At that point, I switched to this nylon cord cutter, and the aforementioned weaknesses of the metal blade disappeared, significantly improving work efficiency.
Also, unlike a metal blade, the nylon cord cutter mows by pulverizing the grass, making it easier to collect the cut grass.
I believe it is efficient to first safely mow the entire property with the nylon cord cutter, and then use the metal blade for tough spots that couldn't be cut, for optimal mowing efficiency.
*Please also consider the Makita Rechargeable Grass Trimmer (MUR194DZ) and the Makita Genuine 18V 6Ah Battery (BL1860B) which I am also listing separately.
