Muromachi Washi Book Cover
10.00 $
Description
Purchased several years ago, but it has been stored away unused.
This stylishly named Shōtō (book wrap) is made from shōshi paper, the same kind used for fusuma sliding doors in closets. It has a texture similar to hand-woven linen, with a coarse yet smooth and comfortable feel. With a wide variety of patterns available, feel free to choose one that matches the content of your book or your mood. As it ages, gently crumpling the paper before wrapping your book will create a unique texture characteristic of shōshi paper.
