Taro Seedlings - Sprouted Taro - Various Sizes

?? Planting Location
Taro dislikes consecutive planting, so avoid planting in the same spot for 3-4 years.
A sunny location with slightly clayey soil is suitable.
☆ We have harvested multiple times from the same planting spot (by leaving behind leftover tubers).

?? Planting Method
Since taro is sensitive to cold, plant only after the weather has sufficiently warmed up.
Create ridges about 70-80 cm wide and make a furrow about 10 cm deep. For double-row planting,
make the ridge width about 100 cm.
Space the plants about 30-40 cm apart, and plant with the sprouts facing upwards in a hole about 10 cm deep.
④ Care Method
Taro is sensitive to dryness, so water thoroughly when the soil surface is dry.
Mulching with straw or other materials can help prevent dryness.

?? Hilling and Top Dressing
Hill the soil as the plants grow.
When the plants reach about 30 cm in height, perform the first hilling of about 5 cm.
After that,
perform hilling of about 10 cm around mid-June and mid-July.
When hilling, apply top dressing at the same time. Apply about 20g of chemical fertilizer per square meter.
