Wooden Bonito Flakes Shaver
10.00 $
Description
This is a retro katsuobushi (bonito flakes) shaver from Higashiho Kogyo.
It is quite old and has stains, rust, dirt, etc., in addition to what is shown in the photos.
It has been stored at my parents' home for a long time, and I have no memory of it being used for about 40 years. It is currently rusted, so it is unclear if it can still shave bonito.
The rusted handle moves, but it is a bit stiff.
It has been wiped with a well-wrung cloth and then air-dried in the shade.
We recommend this item not for shaving bonito, but as an interior decoration or collectible. We appreciate your understanding of long-term home storage and used items.
Thank you for looking.
