Iran/Persia Vintage Rug 119×67cm Tribal Hand-woven Carpet

Iran/Persia (30 years old)
Hand-knotted Hamadan Kashgai Tribal Rug
119x67cm (maximum 2cm distortion, excluding fringe) Thickness 7mm

This is a sophisticated Persian vintage rug with a rich character, hand-knotted in the vicinity of Hamadan, an ancient city in northwestern Iran.

The refined geometric medallion, reminiscent of the Kashgai tribe's style, is reinterpreted with a freer, more expansive rhythm by Hamadan weavers. The contrast between the deep indigo border and the soft, natural cream (kinari) spreading in the center brings a quiet elegance to any space.

[Expert's Insight]
From a spatial design perspective, this rug is excellent as a not too heavy vintage piece. The deep indigo color tightens the space, while the bright beige in the center creates an airy feel, preventing it from looking too dark even when placed under furniture.

It is in a highly practical condition with no noticeable stains or color bleeding, and the sides and fringe are in good shape.

[Usage Suggestions]
Perfect as an entryway mat or under your desk. It has a versatile appeal that complements a wide range of furniture, from natural oak to modern iron pieces.

[Please Note]
While professionally cleaned locally, a wool-like scent may remain. It will naturally dissipate when fully dried. As a characteristic of natural materials, it dislikes moisture, so please use it in a well-ventilated environment.

I have other rugs available, so please take a look if you'd like.
