The dark wood parts are natural wood grain patterns.

Wooden, drawer-style bonito shaving machine.
Simple, sophisticated, and functional design made in Japan.

★Boil water first, then shave bonito - an old saying.
Bonito flakes are delicate. Please shave only what you need, when you need it, to make delicious dashi stock.
*It is said that famous restaurants shave bonito flakes only after an order is placed, as oxidation begins immediately after shaving, diminishing the flavor.
Enjoy the elegant taste of freshly shaved bonito with Takumi (Artisan).
*Since it is a replacement blade system, you can restore the original sharpness simply by replacing the blade when it becomes dull. (Of course, you can also sharpen it when it becomes dull.)
*The wooden base for attaching the blade is made of white oak, the same wood used for carpenters' planes, making it durable and long-lasting.
*The exterior uses beautiful Hemlock wood.
*The blade is made of the highest quality steel, finished with a complete straight cut for a guaranteed sharp cut.
*This product is manufactured and sold for professional use (for restaurants), so its quality is guaranteed.
