Description
This is a seedling of Mikuri (Japanese water chestnut). While there seem to be several varieties of Mikuri, identification is difficult, so I am listing it simply as Mikuri.
It is produced in Isumi City, Chiba Prefecture.
Photos 1-3 show the item for sale, while photos 4 and 5 are for reference of the parent plant and its natural habitat.
This is an aquatic plant with interesting, chestnut-like fruits. It naturally grows in rivers and wetlands with a high degree of naturalness. I think it would also be good to plant in a biotope.
Shipping will be via fourth-class mail (plant/seed mail) as a bare-root seedling, with some soil removed. It will be shipped in recycled packaging such as cardboard boxes or repurposed plastic bottles.
