This is a set of traditional Japanese bamboo baskets and strainers.
Material & Features: Made from natural bamboo, hand-woven by artisans. The edges are wrapped with string or bamboo for reinforcement.
Uses: Can be used for draining vegetables, drying plums, or drying vegetables. It can also be used on the dining table for serving soba noodles or as a decorative plate.
Its good breathability also makes it suitable for serving bread or fruit.
Features: Woven using techniques such as gozame-ami (checkerboard weave) and yatsume-ami (eight-eye weave), it is characterized by its durability and excellent breathability.
The 13cm deep zaru was used for drying plums. There are some reddish spots in places.
