I purchased this to alleviate pain from an episiotomy after childbirth and used it for about 1-2 weeks. It's a firm, thick cushion, and the pain relief was significantly better than with a regular cushion. At the time, it was so useful that I couldn't sit without it.
Depending on the severity, some people may be able to sit normally even after an episiotomy, but I highly recommend this for those experiencing severe pain as it provides great relief. It was very helpful after my first birth, but after my second, I could sit normally without anything. After childbirth, there are many things you have to do while sitting, even if you're in pain from breastfeeding or feeding. I hope someone who needs it can use it to make things a little easier.
