【Organic】 40 Mandarin Orange Leaves - Perfect for Swallowtail Butterfly Food
10.00 $
Description
Our family has swallowtail butterflies emerge every year, so we know exactly what they eat.
The caterpillar in the photo was found on June 8th last year on a mandarin orange tree.
We found the eggs on June 28th last year.
Every year, I don't know if swallowtail butterflies are just flying by or if they are emerging here, but they all play without any fear. It's paradise.
The number of mandarin orange leaves a single swallowtail butterfly caterpillar eats is approximately 32 leaves. This is the total number of leaves eaten from the 1st to the 5th instar larval stages. According to data from Asunaro Learning Room, 1st instar larvae eat 0.06 leaves, 2nd instar larvae eat 0.2 leaves, 3rd instar larvae eat 0.7 leaves, 4th instar larvae eat 3.6 leaves, and 5th instar larvae eat 26.8 leaves.
We will carefully select and ship beautiful leaves.
