Japanese Honeybee Box Hive, Handmade, 2-Tier

Japanese Honeybee Box Hive (Jubako-style)
Japanese Jubako-style Beehive
1 Extension Box + 1 Entrance Box with Landing Board
6 Years of Beekeeping Experience
After building and modifying several beehives, I've finally arrived at this design.
Standard large boxes become unexpectedly heavy with the weight of honey, to the point where women cannot lift them. Working on a ladder is also difficult.
While harvesting honey is enjoyable, it can also be a challenging task, especially with agitated bees.

Therefore, I created a box size that is easy for women, the elderly, or those with less strength to harvest from.
Top Board: Plywood, 23cm x 23cm, 1cm thick
Extension Box: 23cm x 23cm, 2.8cm thick, 15cm height
Landing Board Entrance Box:
23cm x 23cm, 2.7-3.0cm thick, 15cm height
Entrance Hole: Approximately 3mm
Bottom Board: Plywood, 24cm x 28cm, 1cm thick
Space for Small Hive Beetle treatment
                  23cm x 23cm
Honey is slippery during harvest, so
Handles are attached for easy lifting.

Thin bamboo strips are attached to the extension box to prevent comb collapse (naturally done) and are removable.
Please note that there may be slight dimensional errors due to wood warping.

There are scratches and dirt.
Please check the photos for details.
