These individual plates are crafted by the renowned artisan Shozan in Akahada ware, featuring designs meticulously copied from the decorative roof tiles (nokimarugawara) used on the eaves of Nara's Seven Great Temples. They were treasured items, enjoyed for their subtle variations. I believe they are in new condition. As I received a duplicate set, I would like to offer one to anyone who desires it. The earthy color of the Akahada ware is also fitting for evoking ancient Nara and is in beautiful condition. The Seven Great Temples are Todai-ji, Daian-ji, Horyu-ji, Kofuku-ji, Saidai-ji, Toshodai-ji, and Yakushi-ji. A booklet explaining their origin is also included.
