Because it's a copper plate with high thermal conductivity, the bottom heat warms thoroughly, and the bread bakes as if it's lifting from the bottom.

Place your bread on oven paper and let it undergo its second proof in a proofer. While it's proofing, preheat the oven with the copper plate inside.

Once proofing is complete, place the bread (still on the oven paper) onto a thick piece of cardboard or similar. Then, quickly slide the cardboard out, as if gliding the bread onto the copper plate inside the oven.

As it has been well-loved, there is a slight warp on the baking surface, but this does not affect its use.
Being copper, it can be bent with a little force.
