This product is a fully matured, specialized egg-laying mat made from 100% high-quality oak sawdust, which rhinoceros beetles prefer. It is slowly and specially fermented indoors.

The additives used in the fermentation process are minimized, making it specifically formulated for egg-laying.

To mimic a natural environment, we use sawdust that has been decomposed through a sterilization process, which enhances the rhinoceros beetle's desire to lay eggs and promotes prolific breeding.

Furthermore, we do not use any spent mushroom substrate, ensuring 100% freedom from mixed-in pests.

Commonly available inexpensive mats are made from spent mushroom substrate after mushroom cultivation, which is then fermented outdoors. This makes them prone to contamination with pests such as nematodes, earthworms, and fungus gnats, which can cause them to appear during breeding.

Our fermented mat is made by fermenting fresh oak sawdust indoors under strict control for an extended period. This eliminates concerns about pests, and the mat can be used immediately without heat or freezing treatment.
