● Recommended by Kawaguchi Shokai as a top-grade product for larval rearing, egg-laying, and stocking.
This product contains 3 bags (approx. 9L per bag).

● The highest quality substrate from Nose's long-established company, Kawaguchi Shokai!

● We have created a finely granulated black fermented substrate that approaches Kawaguchi Shokai's legendary APO substrate.

● Contains 3 bags (approx. 9L per bag). This is a great value product packed in a cardboard box.

● We manually remove the core from Quercus and Nara wood logs and process them into a fine granulated substrate (sifted through a 2.4mm sieve).
Furthermore, additives are included to ensure long-term preservation.
Please note that due to the nature of the raw material (wood), the product may differ from the photos due to variations in wood quality and season. However, due to the time and effort invested over many years, mass production is not possible.
This substrate has achieved excellent results in the egg-laying and rearing of most stag beetles.
We use it for the egg-laying and rearing of species such as Dorcus hopei binodulosus, Neolucanus swirei, Dorcus curvidens, Dorcus titanus, Dorcus antaeus, Prosopocoilus inclinatus, Dorcus antaeus, and Chrysina resplendens, and have observed surprisingly high egg production, with eggs laid at the bottom of the rearing case. This time, we decided to offer it not only for our own satisfaction but also to those struggling with no egg-laying or no successful hatches, including stag beetle enthusiasts and breeders. Why not try experiencing the joy of abundant hatches yourself?
* It is also suitable for larval rearing, and the larvae are very stable with this substrate. Using this substrate for wood rearing significantly reduces the chance of mortality and leads to stable sizes and results.

※ Currently, we are experiencing a shortage of dedicated bags for our Special Selected Stag Beetle Substrate.
The product is currently being packed in plain bags, but the contents are the same Special Selected Stag Beetle Substrate as always.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding.
