Nakatsu Broom is a traditional broom made entirely by hand by artisans, based on techniques passed down for about 150 years in Nakatsu, Aikawa Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, using organically grown broomcorn. With soft yet firm bristles, artisans have developed varieties such as Te-hoki (floor broom) and Yofuku-hoki (clothing broom) to suit modern lifestyles, and they are cherished as durable and beautiful tools for cleaning floors and clothes.
