Sansho leaves, food for swallowtail butterflies, extra large

These leaves are several times larger than ordinary sansho leaves.

We harvest them from sansho trees in the great outdoors on the mountaintop.

The aroma is so intense it's suitable for high-end restaurants.

As you can see from the ratings,
the quality is exceptional.

How about using them as food for swallowtail butterfly larvae, caterpillars, and other insects?

Because they are of high quality and have a strong aroma,
insects will readily eat them.

It also affects the size of the adult butterflies.

Sansho Leaves, Pesticide-Free

These are sansho leaves from our farm.

We will harvest them after you place your order.

We will check them before shipping, but
there may be some insects, debris, or berries mixed in.
We appreciate your understanding.

They are suitable for eating, such as making sansho pickles, or for removing gamey odors in cooking.
After drying them until crispy, you can grind them into a powder and mix with salt.

For Doyo no Ushi no Hi (midsummer day of the ox),
you can also make sansho salt for eel.

They are great for tempura. The powder is also a good secret ingredient for hamburgers!

These will be placed in a freezer bag as harvested and shipped in a simple envelope.

There may be some leaves with insect damage.

We pick both soft and firm leaves indiscriminately.

If it rains, we cannot harvest, so
shipping may be delayed.

Once they arrive,
storing them in the refrigerator will significantly extend their shelf life.

We ship them slightly moist. In the summer,
bacteria may multiply, causing an odor, but
a light rinse with water should resolve this.
