Product Features
The extension boxes and entrance box are made of cedar from Kumamoto Prefecture and are 30mm thick, making them easy to manage in both hot and cold weather.
The wood is not charred to allow it to breathe and easily regulate internal humidity. The goal is to maximize the bees' vitality by keeping the environment as natural as possible.
Hives that are easy to regulate humidity yield honey with higher sugar content. The comb support bars used in the extension boxes are 8mm thick and fitted into grooves.
Our hives have parallel comb support bars, and the extension boxes are stacked so that the bars alternate horizontally and vertically. This minimizes the number of bars that bees dislike while achieving an effect similar to a grid pattern.
It also makes it easier to insert blades like knives for honey harvesting.
The entrance box features a sliding entrance board, allowing for easy inspection of the interior.
The standard entrance height is 6mm. By inverting the entrance board, you can confine the bees, which is convenient for transportation.
