Japanese Honeybee Jubako-style Catch Box (Beehive)

This beehive was made at a workshop hosted by a local beekeeper with many years of experience raising Japanese honeybees. Its specifications are based on actual beekeeping experience.

It is currently a two-tier structure but is designed for easy expansion to three tiers.

We attempted to install it last year, but due to the surrounding environment, no bees moved in. It was removed in early May and has been stored in a warehouse since then.

We believe this will be useful for those who want to start raising Japanese honeybees or try using it as a catch box. The materials distributed at the workshop are also included.

- Beeswax (partially used)
- Bee debris (collected from a Japanese honeybee nest)

The bee debris can be used to make attractant solutions or beeswax. Applying beeswax inside the hive and using an attractant solution on the outside will help attract bees.
