- Sericin (silk protein), one of the proteins in silk, has a composition very similar to the amino acids in the Natural Moisturizing Factor found in human epidermis and stratum corneum, making it a gentle, natural protein with excellent moisturizing properties.
- Sericin, uniformly contained within the foamed material, is easily soluble in water and warm water. It acts directly on the skin to moisturize and protect it, leaving it smooth. (Due to its high water solubility, prolonged soaking in water may wash away the sericin, so avoid soaking for longer than necessary.)
- It removes rough skin, such as on the heels, without damaging the skin, thanks to the action of sericin. The moisturizing effect leaves the skin smooth and hydrated.
