This set was used for a while for hobbies, such as grinding silica sand and walnuts. Since the materials being ground were not particularly hard, the interior surface of the mortar has no prominent scratches or noticeable unevenness. It has been cleaned with water after being ground with fine silica sand.
Please check the condition in the photos.
The bottom exterior shows some brownish-tan stains, which were present from the time of purchase. It is likely the mark from contact with the metal plate used as a stand for the mortar after firing.
The relatively large inner diameter of approximately 175mm and inner height of approximately 90mm are advantageous for grinding without scattering the contents.
I don't recall the exact purchase price, but I believe it was around 12,000 yen.
Thank you for looking.
