Table Lamp
The AKARI Table Lamp 1N is a lamp made from Japanese paper and bamboo. The Japanese paper diffuses a soft, warm light throughout the space, and it is lightweight and easy to carry. Designed by Isamu Noguchi, this lighting fixture features a simple and sophisticated design that complements both Japanese and Western-style rooms.
Over 35 years, Isamu Noguchi designed over 200 different shapes and sizes of AKARI.
Each AKARI is handcrafted by skilled artisans. Bamboo strips are wound around a dedicated wooden mold, and Japanese paper is applied to the surface. The wooden mold is then removed from the paper shade, and it undergoes a drying process. This entire production process is carried out by Japanese artisans. All shades are printed with the signature of the designer, Isamu Noguchi.
