Description
Prepared for lovers of Iyo stones from Karagawa Murayama, Iyo City.

Silicon Carbide #150

Transform your intensely sticky Iyo铭砥 (famous Iyo whetstone)! ?
Received from a long-established polishing agent dealer in Kyoto City, who also deals in whetstones.
On the market, as seen here: https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0CKKKFRY1
You'll see it's over ¥1,500 per 100g in a bottle, so please make good use of this generous 500g portion, worth ¥7,500.
This is a surplus item from a mistaken order, so it's available only while supplies last.

It can also be used as usual for lapping plates or rust removal.
Since there's plenty, why not share it with your friends? Please refrain from reselling.
It's a great deal, similar to those expensive items sold in small vials like nutrient ampoules or eel sauce bottles.
Mohs hardness 10 is diamond, and this is approximately 9+. It's harder than WA (White Aluminum Oxide) and has a cutting-first characteristic, making it versatile.

I recently discovered that by sprinkling this powder and sharpening with Karagawa Murayama Iyo stones, the strongest stickiness incorporates hard artificial abrasives, exhibiting intense grinding power. Conversely, the flatness retention decreases. Fortunately, the cutting ability is excellent relative to its hardness, making flattening easy.
This is an example of effectively using the neutral and highly viscous slurry (mud/grinding paste) unique to Karagawa Murayama production, which is free from acidity. It also helps the grains break down within the slurry, aiding in grit progression, allowing you to experience the feel of a pseudo-natural whetstone from the coarse grit stage.
If you reduce the water supply and continue sharpening, it will give a finish resembling the boya (hazy) sharpening technique used by blacksmiths. It feels like it progresses to #800-#1,200 grit.
This single product allows you to seamlessly move from a very coarse grit stone to a medium grit stone, saving you time and effort.

It's highly recommended as it combines the best of both artificial and natural whetstones.
It's inexpensive and includes shipping, so please try it out, whether you think you're being tricked or just want to pass the time.
We'd love to hear your feedback after trying it on your Iyo stones!

Karagawa Iyo stones alone can take you to a semi-finishing stage. This product is multi-purpose, far superior in time and cost efficiency compared to Honzan finishing stones from Ukyo Ward, and has a wider applicable grit range.

The price includes shipping to any location, including remote islands. It will be delivered without you having to bear any shipping costs.
