Arkansas whetstones are made from an extremely hard, white rock composed primarily of microcrystalline quartz.
Due to its porous structure, which is ideal for oil penetration, it is used as an oil stone. It is an excellent whetstone for polishing, maintaining, and final finishing of knives, as well as watches, gauges, and precision measuring instruments.
