Himalayan Origin (2400m altitude, Nepal)
Made from original, naturally cultivated hemp stalks (with fiber).
While the usage is the same as the Taiwanese product,
this is recommended for special occasions when you want to use hemp charcoal for a truly impactful moment.
Some customers also mix it with the Taiwanese product.
Himalayan hemp charcoal is produced in cooperation with villagers in regions where hemp seeds are traditionally consumed.
Currently, as part of employment support for mountain communities,
we teach the people of Nepal safe and hygienic Dutch oven carbonization methods, carefully producing 300g of hemp charcoal at a time.
This charcoal is then brought to Miyakojima for inspection, grinding, and refinement. It undergoes processes such as mixing with beneficial microorganisms and enzymes, sun-drying, moon-drying, and star-drying (similar to the Taiwanese product), before being packaged under the sun during the day.
